Important Information & Policies

By signing my child up for Bay Area Friendship Circle programs, I understand and accept the below policies and I am responsible for payment.

 

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to those families that qualify based upon demonstrated need. It is our policy to ensure that any family that wishes to attend our programs can do so regardless of ability to pay. If you require finance assistance with the program tuition please submit your registration forms using the check payment option and send an e-mail on the same day as your registration forms are submitted, to ezzy@bayareafc.org, to request financial assistance

 

Location

Sunday/Social Circle programs meet at 3860 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto. Check program information for location of other programs.

 

Medical/Health History & Consent

When you sign up for Friendship Circle programs please be prepared to fill out your child’s medical/health history information as part of the registration process, which will result in registration taking at least 30 minutes. It is the responsibility of every inpidual participant or his/her parent(s) or legal guardian to provide his/her own accident and health/dental coverage while participating in all Friendship Circle programs and activities. The Bay Area Friendship Circle does not provide any accident or health/dental coverage for its participants and volunteers.

 

Minors

The Bay Area Friendship Circle cannot accept responsibility for minors (children under 18) /program participants except when they are under the supervision of an appropriate employee. Parent/guardians will be responsible for notifying staff of a child’s absence, late arrival, early or late pick-up and any special circumstances. For the protection of participants, the Bay Area Friendship Circle has adopted a sign-in/out policy for all programs held by the Bay Area Friendship Circle. Participants must be picked up by an adult over 18 years of age after programs. Teen volunteers, may sign themselves out. If your child signs him/herself out, he/she must be able to provide his/her own transportation home.

 

Online Registration

Program registration is only available online. Our programs have maximum capacities and space is available on a first come, first served basis.

 

Online registration for fall programs begins: August 8, 2018

 

Payment

Program payments are due in full before program starts. Due to the nature of our programs, because we take considerable time and effort to match each participant with a teen volunteer buddy, you are not considered enrolled in a program until the on-line Program Registration and Medical Information forms are complete and payment is received. Payment is by check and/or credit card only (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).

 

Medical Information and Release

  • All participants must complete the Medical Information and Release portion of the Program Registration form on an annual basis.
  • Your child’s health information remains in effect through the end of the program season (June 2018).
  • The FC Office will contact you about completing additional waivers if needed.

 

Cancellations, Transfers, & Late Fees Policy

No credits, refunds or transfers are allowed within two weeks prior to the program start date for which you are registering.

Changes and cancellation: Changes and cancellations must be submitted via e-mail to the FC office at office@BayAreaFC.org within two weeks prior to the program start date to receive a refund. Payments will not be refunded for changes and cancellations made after the two week deadline

Note: Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.
