In celebration of our wedding, we wish to support the Bay Area Friendship Circle, an organization that holds a special place in our hearts. Instead of traditional gifts, we ask our loved ones to consider contributing to this incredible community that fosters inclusion and friendship for children and teens with special needs. Lenya volunteers with the Friendship Circle, and we've seen firsthand how it empowers young people to become compassionate leaders. Your support will help create a more inclusive world where everyone is embraced and valued.
About Bay Area Friendship Circle:
The Bay Area Friendship Circle is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive community for children, teens, and young adults with special needs, together with their families. At each of our programs, participants are matched with a trained teen volunteer buddy who provides friendship and support. Participants and volunteers participate in a variety of fun and engaging social, educational, and recreational programs designed to include, involve, and motivate. The purpose of our programs is to allow participants the space to be themselves and make lasting friendships in a safe, supportive, welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment. In addition, we create opportunities for families to meet, make friends, and gain support from one another. Our teen volunteers become engaged and caring community leaders.
